Council Staff

Good morning and welcome to the New York City Council hearing, joint hearing for the Committee on Women and Gender Equity and the Committee on Criminal Justice.

Council Staff

At this time, I'm going to ask that everyone in the room silence all cell phones and electronic devices.

Council Staff

If you wish to testify, you need to fill out an appearance card.

Council Staff

If you haven't done so but want to testify, see the sergeant at arms at the desk right outside, and we'll get you signed up.

Council Staff

Most importantly at this time, no one is allowed to approach the dais.

Council Staff

Chair, you may begin.
