Chair Hudson closes hearing and adjourns
Hudson thanks everyone who testified, notes written testimony can be submitted for 72 hours, says the hearing showed more work is needed to create safe and dignified shelter, and adjourns.
Thank you all for your testimony.
I appreciate it.
Is Timothy Pena still here?
Does nobody answer?
Bless you.
Okay.
If there's anyone present in the room or on Zoom that has not had the opportunity to testify, please raise your hand.
In the room or on Zoom.
Nobody answered?
Okay.
Thank you to everyone who has testified, seeing no one else.
I would like to note again that written testimony, which will be reviewed in full by committee staff, may be submitted to the record
up to 72 hours after the close of this hearing by emailing testimony at council.nyc.gov.
And I think what we have seen here today is not only that, of course, we already know we have so much more work to do in creating safe, secure, and dignified places for people to live who are experiencing homelessness.
Um
But we have to prioritize the experiences, the lived experiences of those who are in the shelter system and not just rely on, you know, policies, procedures and laws that exist on the books.
And so with that, I just want to thank everybody again for your testimony.
And with that, I will adjourn today's hearing.
