Long and Jimenez on CBO outreach across boroughs
Jimenez says H&H contracts with 20 community-based organizations that reflect New York City's diversity, speak dozens of languages, and operate in every borough. He says H&H meets with them monthly to share feedback and identify where to be.
Well, I'll start.
In your outreach, I mean.
Yeah, yeah, no, totally.
I'll start and I'll turn to Jonathan.
But I want to, I think outreach is so important.
And for me, I'll say on a personal level, this program is how I really learned, you know, the value and absolute crucial role that outreach has in a program like this.
If you take out our relationships with our CBO partners, if you take out the outreach components of the program, I don't think it would have succeeded.
So I think that from the beginning of the program, our decision to make sure that we were in partnership with CBOs, I think, has been a cornerstone of our success.
Jonathan is very close to that, so if you want to share a little more about how things have gone.
We contract with 20.
community-based organizations that have been serving their community for decades and are well-trusted messengers about the care that we provide and about the enrollment process.
And we strive, when we contract with them and partner with them, to make sure that they also reflect the diversity of New York City.
So they speak dozens of languages and have served all the different communities in New York City.
They're in every single borough.
So that's sort of our approach to the gaps.
Let's be in as many places as possible and anywhere that we're needed.
And we also receive feedback, important feedback, regularly from them.
We meet with them monthly on an individual basis and then all together as well monthly to share both between them experiences about.
Where we need to be that we aren't already, and also receive feedback about what's an event that we need to go to that we haven't been already present at.
Happy to have you at all of my events in District 13.
A couple more questions if I may, Chair.
