Narcisse asks about five-year investments; Jimenez on community outreach
Narcisse asks what investments would have the greatest impact on NYC Care's reach over five years. Jimenez says community work is crucial, including equipping CBOs to do outreach and enrollment and spreading an inclusive message.
What investments would have the greatest impact on expanding NYC Care reach and effectiveness over the next five years?
I think that's related to what I mentioned previously, right, that our work in the community is really crucial.
Our effectiveness really depends on whether
people are connected to care and then telling their friends and family about the care, whether our community-based organizations are equipped and staff to do outreach and be at health fairs and educate the public about the program and assist folks in enrolling.
And then I think also contributing is our message of inclusion that we strive to create through all of our advertising and marketing.
And yeah, whether it's place and print or in the subway, a right to health care, you are a New Yorker from day one, are all messages that highlight.
If you have any health concern, we're here to take care of you.
There's a no wrong door approach.
Call 646-NYC-CARE.
That's the crucial piece.
I appreciate that.
