Narcisse asks about language access assessments; Jimenez on top languages

New York City Council · Oct 28, 2026 · starts 1:00:50 · 1 min 8 sec

Narcisse asks whether H&H has assessed language access needs and identified gaps. Long says a team monitors wait times for interpretation, and Jimenez lists Spanish, Chinese and related dialects, French, and Polish as the most requested languages.

Mercedes Narcisse

Have there been any recent assessment of language access needs among New York City Care members, and what gaps, if any, has H&H identified in interpretation or translation services?

Dr. Ted Long

Dr. Jonathan Jimenez

Dr. Jonathan Jimenez

And then I have the...

Dr. Jonathan Jimenez

A phone on my desk that at the touch of a button I can have a telephoning interpretation available so that I can communicate with the patient.
