Brewer returns to influencer spending and definition of community media
Brewer asks how the other 50% of agency ad spending could go to influencers or out-of-scope outlets and whether the definition of community media should change. Sidahmed says his focus is increasing in-scope dollars to directory publications.
Thank you.
I have the number.
We'll be glad to share for the coalition.
They're wonderful.
We're just back to this influencer issue because obviously Department of Sanitation, as an example, they have a budget.
I assume it's more than $5,000.
So they would be one of the agencies that would, in fact, have.
Come under local law 83.
So they will do, I assume, hopefully 50% for the list that you come up with that you will hopefully have done by the end of the year.
Hopefully they've been spending up to now, even though they don't necessarily have a complete list.
But then the other 50%, would that go if they want to use influencers or other out-of-scope individuals?
How would you have any sense of that?
Or do we keep that other 50% as their decision?
But in the world that's different than it was.
