Stevens asks about engagement with NY Coalition for Ethnic and Community Media
Stevens says the New York Coalition for Ethnic and Community Media feels left out of conversations and sometimes disfavored by the administration. She asks how Sidahmed will engage groups that push the envelope.
Councilmember Stevens.
Sorry, I just had a question.
Specifically, the New York Coalition for Ethnic and Community Media, they're saying that what is the engagement going to look like with them because they feel like they have not been part of a lot of these conversations and specifically
because sometimes I guess they're not necessarily seen in good light from the admin.
What does that look like with, you know, ethnic media groups who might be pushing the envelope, which technically they're supposed to do because that's what media is supposed to do, be the check on government.
And so could you talk about, like, what is your approach is going to be with those outlets?
My approach with all outlets will be the same.
I'm really excited to meet as many publications as will meet with me from the citywide marketing directory.
I'm having sit-down meetings with a number of publications and publishers.
Publishers are also busy and, you know, scheduling time.
