Chair Avilés Questions Executive Order 13 Audit Report Authorship
Chair Alexa Avilés asks about the authorship of the Executive Order 13 audit report and MOIA's role on the Interagency Response Committee.
And I'll I'm gonna get into the uh city's sanctuary policies across the agencies, executive order 13 and what happened there, and then I'm gonna um allow uh my colleagues to ask some questions.
Uh for many of you who who may not know yet, on uh February 6th, the mayor issued Executive Order 13 to strengthen the city's sanctuary protections, and the report for this executive order audit um and its findings was published online just recently on May 22nd.
I want to thank the administration for giving uh the council a briefing on this before it was uh put online.
It was extremely helpful to hear about it before actually reading it.
Um but I uh so I had some questions.
So, who in the administration authored the report and what was your role throughout the the fight before the findings came out?
Yeah, the report was uh prepared by the interagency response committee, which as you mentioned, it was created by um executive order and EO13, it's chaired by the FDM, it includes direct consultation from Moya, our chief counsel's office, and the special advisor for strategic coordination.
Um that's who prepared the report.
