Massey CB16 opposes DM term limits
Sabrina Massey, a new community board member at CB16, opposes term limits for district managers, arguing it would limit information available to board members, discourage people from becoming district managers or board members, and disrupt the relationship between them.
Hi, can you hear me?
Yes.
Good afternoon.
Thank you for having me.
My name is Sabrina Massey, and I'm here to say that I am against the term limits for district manager.
I'm with CB16.
I'm a community board member.
And as a new community board member, CB16 have a lot of challenges and a lot of issues.
And if you put a term limit on the district manager, that's limiting the information that the board members are going to be able to receive.
We already have a challenge with.
Having the board members show up.
So with the work of the district manager who has to learn a wealth of information and pass it down to the board members, that's going to have a challenge.
The board members will also suffer with knowledge.
It's going to limit people wanting to become a board member.
As well as a district manager.
So I am against it.
I think that once the board members and the district managers form a relationship and try to
have a successful board, that's going to be taken away if you put a term limit.
So thank you for letting me speak.
And that is my opinion.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you for your service.
And Lisa Purdy is next.
