Riley explains the 200 Kent Avenue rezoning in Brooklyn, which includes a zoning map amendment and text amendment for a mixed-use residential project with approximately 143 apartments, up to 36 affordable through MIH. The committee's modification will remove MIH Option 2. Located in Councilmember Restler's district.
Riley describes the 47-03 108th Street rezoning in Queens, Councilmember Thomas-Henry's district, for a mixed-use development with approximately 119 units including up to 30 affordable through MIH. The committee's modification will rezone the area as R7D rather than R7X based on predominant existing development patterns.
Riley presents LU 117, which expands the existing Flatiron District concession area on portions of Broadway and Fifth Avenue in the districts of Councilmembers Epstein and Wilson. The expansion aims to create a more engaging and safer public realm for pedestrians and cyclists between East 19th Street and West 31st Street.
Riley invites colleagues for comments or questions; seeing none, he calls for a vote to approve LU 114 and LU 117, and to approve with modifications LU 115/116 and LU 118/119. He asks the clerk to call the roll.
