Applicant Walker-Stewart on Sojourner site building design and units
Walker-Stewart presents the Sojourner site: 159 affordable units, 50% dedicated to MAPES tenants, 8-16 story building with concierge, maisonettes creating row-house scale, and landscaped rear yard. Height concentrated along the 100-foot-wide Southern Boulevard.
And we are proposing, next slide.
We're proposing 159 units of affordable housing on this site.
As Matthew mentioned, 50% of these units will be dedicated to the MAPES tenants, so they will get a brand new building,
amenities which they do not currently have, an elevator, and a landscape terrace, or a landscape area in the rear.
The building ranges in height between 8 and 16 stories, and there is concierge on the ground floor at the corner, so tenants will be greeted upon entry.

So this view showcases the massing of the project.
We've concentrated the height along the wide street.
It's 100 feet wide, and it steps down to 10 and 8 stories along the residential streets.
And then on the bottom, you'll see maisonettes in pink.
And we'll next slide.
So this perspective highlights the maisonettes, which are essentially little row houses inset into the larger building.
So tenants who live in those units have their own entrance, two stories.
And so this creates a really nice human scale to the street and also gives tenants their own row house.
And this view also highlights the landscape area in the rear yard.
That is...
accessible to tenants.
