Sanchez questions Anderson on nightlife district cleaning programs and staffing
Sanchez asks about Intro 970, requesting headcounts for the targeted neighborhood task force and precision cleaning initiative, and whether they overlap. Anderson says the programs now operate as fungible resources without specific schedules, deployed based on identified cleaning needs.
I just want to talk briefly about Councilmember Gutierrez's bill.
So you can finish these questions.
Can the, for those, again, it is in relation to the enhanced street cleaning and litter basket services in a proposed nightlife districts.
Can the department provide a headcount for the targeted neighborhood task force and the precision cleaning initiative?
Are these teams exclusive or is there an overlap between the task force and initiative?
And for the task force, how are staff assigned to neighborhoods and likewise for the initiative?
I don't have those numbers directly in front of me.
Hold on, I'll try to pull them up.
Yeah, we don't have those numbers directly in front of us.
But I will say, you know, the targeted neighborhood task force and precision cleaning initiative, even though those were sort of funded as separate programs, they now operate as much more fungible assets.
So there isn't necessarily a specific frequency or schedule with which we're using them.
We identify conditions that need to be cleaned, and then we sort of draw from that pool of resources as we are cleaning those conditions.
