Caban Q&A: Local Law 39 non-compliant agencies
Caban asks which agencies should be reporting under Local Law 39 but aren't, and what the council can do to help. Orlando says DVS can follow up with a list and describes direct staff engagement with agencies to answer reporting questions.
As far as Local Law 39, only seven agencies provided quantitative data in fiscal year 2025.
So that's an example.
So at DVS, we are meeting with our providers to hear from them directly to let us know what has been working, what hasn't been working.
Which agencies that should be reporting aren't doing so?
And as an agency, as we continue having many roundtables at DVS, I've heard from many veteran groups that perhaps that this is one of the first times when the agency itself has really engaged many of the groups.
What are you doing to bring them into compliance?
What can this committee and this council do to bring them into compliance?
So that's an example.

Thank you for that question.
We can follow up with that listing, but what we are doing to engage is ensuring that there's members of our team who are directly working on that continued engagement to also answer any questions that the agencies may have with their reporting.
