Q&A

Hanif asks about DRI recipient age breakdown

New York City Council · Sep 18, 2026 · starts 2:13:08 · 58 sec

Hanif asks how many DRI recipients are 62 or older, and Shear reports 6,729, offering to provide a breakdown of younger recipients as well.

Shahana Hanif

Could you share how many DRI recipients are 62 or older?

Jeffrey Shear

It's, I have that here somewhere.

Jeffrey Shear

I believe it's roughly 6,200.

Jeffrey Shear

Oh, here we go.

Jeffrey Shear

It's 6,729.

Shahana Hanif

And then do you have a breakdown of folks who are younger?

Jeffrey Shear

No, but we can come up with one.

Shahana Hanif

Okay.

Shahana Hanif

Thank you.

Shahana Hanif

I might be reaching my final questions.

Shahana Hanif

So if you will give me a minute.

Shahana Hanif

I believe you may have answered this earlier.
