Diana Ramos details apartment conditions and need to move
Ramos describes lost furniture from bugs and mice, inability to shower reliably, a plumber who ran from her dog, and a building that feels dangerous. She says she wants to move to a one-bedroom but the transfer process is stuck.
And it's it's a cycle that.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cry today.
It's a cycle that's really difficult for me because I don't like living like this.
I have to.
replaced all my furniture because of bugs and mice.
That means I have to replace my bed.
I have to replace, maybe the only thing I could take is my table, my dining room table, if I, if pots and pans, you know, thank you.
I mean, I get SSI.
You know, it's not like I get a lot of money and I shop frugally, but I also don't shop cheaply.
I mean, I know the value of good quality and all I want to do is move out and get into a one bedroom, which is a little bit more room and I have a separate room.
You know, and because some people don't like big dogs.
My girl's a sweetheart, and I love her to death.
But some people don't like big dogs.
And so not having a space for her, and I'm not cannibalizing her because she's trauma herself.
We're a good match.
And to...
To not be able to shower.
I shower at my office because I can't be guaranteed that plumbing is going to work right.
But when the plumber came to quote unquote look at my bathroom, he saw my dog and he ran.
And I said, get me a different plumber and they won't.
So, you know, it's, I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.
And my situation is pretty gross, you know?
I mean, almost hoarder's level because I'm always moving stuff and I'm piling stuff up so it looks bad because I'm trying.
And it's hard when you can't even walk to the garbage room to take out your trash.
Because it hurts so much.
And you have tons and tons of things you have to throw out.
Because of the mice and the roaches.
I, my refrigerator is about to go bad.
I have a toaster oven that we're talking, it's disgusting.
And I want it fixed.
Yeah.
I mean, I will clean the apartment completely, you know, and do what I can to reverse some of the damage that was done.
Because of the situation.
But I need a new place.
I mean, I'm literally starting from scratch with, like, the clothes on my back and a few things.
I can't even have a bookshelf I love to read.
I can't even have a bookshelf and books because of my celium or it'll get contaminated with viruses.
It's bad.
It's really bad.
And I wish the system was a lot more efficient to get someone like myself when we find out that the management company isn't a good people to get us out of these situations.
