Banks asks why only one year of Section 9 data is published; Greene will check policy
Banks asks why NYCHA publishes only one year of Section 9 work order data rather than data from 2019 onward. Greene says he will check the policy and notes NYCHA shared about 7.5 million work order records with the Council.
The NITRA metric shows only one year of work order data for Section 9.
Why does NITRA not publish that data from 2019 to today?
Thank you, Chair, for that question.
I'll have to go back and check to see what the policy decision was, but we do have other data available.
And as I said, we have no issue with being transparent and sharing work order data.
For example, we've just shared, again, about seven points.
0.5 million work orders with the council that they are free to go through.
We also have a lot of other data portals, for example, on lead, on mold, that share information about the different programs that we have on a program basis.
And when it comes to PAC data,
being published.
When will the PAC data be published at the same level or detailed as Section 9?
Thank you for that question.
So in 2023, we started to publish the monthly reporting data on our website on a quarterly basis.
And that's because we collect it on a monthly basis from each of the properties.
It will not compare and we will never have the same level of data or detail as the Section 9 side because we are not in that property management role.
We're collecting information across a number of different private property managers across a number of different properties.
And so what we do publish is the most standardized data set for that entire portfolio.
