Patricia Dickey describes delayed and closed-out work orders at Pink Houses
Patricia Dickey says work orders are often incomplete, delayed for months, or closed after workers claim she was not home. She says residents are sometimes left to do repairs themselves or manage without service.
Good afternoon, committee.
My name is Patricia Dickey, and I reside in housing.
And when it comes to work orders, it's half of the time they're not completed.
It's a long delay.
You have to sometimes get tickets closed out to get the work that you need right then and there.
There's months apart.
When you need work, if you call this month, sometimes it's for the next year.
And then when they come to do the work, they'll say that you wasn't home.
They'll close the ticket.
And then you have to call the customer service number again.
Half of the time, you're left to do your work on your own or just manage to live month to month just to make sure you can live decent.
Sometimes you can't even get a hold of somebody to get a ticket order number because it's like you stay on the phone countless times and a long time at that.
And you spend half of the day.
And then when you do get a ticket, they tell you you have a ticket for that already.
And you have to then have it closed out.
And then you have to find a maintenance worker to close that ticket.
And then it leaves you back at square one with no work done and not even a work order ticket number.
Ms.
Dickey, does that conclude your testimony?
Absolutely not.
I'm sorry.
My thing was moving over.
That's all right.
Take your time.
