How often do fellows move into full-time city employment in the agency in which they held their fellowship?
Majority of the movements that we have is moving into a full-time position with the agency.
If fellows elect to pursue employment with a different agency, how is their placement determined?
Do they do that on their own?
Do they get assistance from the agency, from DCAS?
If a fellow who completes the program wants to apply for a different vacancy, they'll go through the normal recruitment process where they can apply and interview for that vacancy.
And are open roles identified by agencies and approved by OMB prior to the beginning of the fellowship to ensure that all fellows are able to move into full-time employment if they want to?
Absolutely.
That is one of the main criteria of the program.
We want to make sure that there is a full-time vacancy that the person can go into.
