Morano asks about social media metrics and hires
Morano questions whether the impressive social media growth translates to hires; Porter says it's too early to correlate but it's a step in the right direction.
I noticed something interesting towards the end of your testimony.
You report that your social media impressions are up 251%.
We'll have to chat privately so you can give me some tips.
Audience interactions are up 329%, and video views are up 408%.
Those are...
Remarkably impressive.
But how many additional people actually got hired because of those campaigns?
Are you measuring that?
Because I don't necessarily think the public should judge a recruitment program by how many people watch the video.
We should judge it, obviously, by whether they found jobs or not.
So first, I'll say that those numbers are directly contributed to our commissioner's commitment to getting out information about city jobs and, you know, demystifying how to engage with the system.
What I will say is that it may be a little bit too early to kind of correlate.
that are actually getting jobs to the information that we're posting on social media.
However, I think that it's an amazing step in the right direction to, you know, just continue to share information about the good jobs that are available.
