According to the council's briefing paper, DCAS held 178 qualifying civil service ambassador events in fiscal year 2025.
Only seven were on Staten Island.
Your testimony says you're meeting New Yorkers where they are, across all five boroughs.
How many Staten Islanders actually got hired as a result of those seven events?
We would have to check and see if we can get back to you on that.
But the main focus of these events is to share information about the system, not so much to tout a specific job or position.
The goal is to help folks understand how to engage with us and where to go for information in the event that they are looking for a particular job.
