Narcisse comments on tracking and asks about turnover and exit interviews
Narcisse emphasizes the need to track candidates; Otar says they have exit interview surveys and citywide career counselors to help with retention.
The way I see it in my brain, so if I'm sending you folks to work for you, so at least I need to know what's up.
If they're staying, I need to know where they're going and keeping track.
I know it may be difficult, but I'm just thinking.
Yeah, we track how the agencies are using the actual civil service list, but the onboarding process, that's happening at the agency level.
So the interviewing and the, you know, the issuance of onboarding documentation, the investigative process, all of that happens at the agency level.
Yeah.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Which job have the highest turnover in the first two years?
Do you know by any chance?
And what do exit and?
interviews stay about why the people live because if leaving the agencies or whatever done so we don't I don't have that particular number for you here today but we may be able to provide information about the exit interviews
do we have yes for the exit interviews we do have a
survey that agencies issue and then we produce a report on it and so a lot of it is sometimes the opportunities to grow within their career or not knowing how to navigate the career
in city government after they've landed.
Or just wanting to explore other opportunities outside of city government.
And so one of the things that we have is citywide career counselors, where each agency will have a career counselor,
and for anyone that's working in the agency will have access to learning more about how they can progress within their agencies or even across different agencies.
