Restler asks why the city is not using Passport for MWBE data
Restler questions why the city is creating a new system when Passport already captures contract actions. He raises cost and operational concerns for procurement officials having to use an alternative system.
And can I just, this may not be a question for you, this may be a question for John, but...
Why not Passport?
We have an existing system that captures all of our contract actions.
I just would assume that it's a cost and...
Operational challenge for every procurement official in the city of New York to have to now use an alternative system to capture this data, why not use our existing procurement system for gathering this information?

Enter their information in a passport.

contract awards, but more importantly, the payments on those awards.
Okay, you want to jump in on why we didn't use Passport here as well?
