Palatnik presents renderings and amenities for long-term care facility
Palatnik shows renderings of the proposed building, highlighting an atrium, landscaped rooftop terrace, chapel, recreation, and exercise spaces. He says the design aims to feel like a home rather than an institution.
I guess I'll ask whoever's controlling the screen, if you could just click forward to the plans, the proposed plans, which is after page 15.
And you can stop on the rendering at the front so everybody can see how beautiful the building is.
There you go.
And the building is really proposed to be a stunning building.
I dare say one of the nicest buildings that I've seen a rendering for on Coney Island Avenue in quite some time.
The middle part of it that you're looking at is a proposed atrium area where there'll be a common area for building residents so they could be exposed to sunlight.
They should catch great westerly sunsets and things like that, let lights in, let light in, make them feel like they're living somewhere.
That's part of their home where they are now and not coming into an institution of any sort.
And the rooftop on the top right is beautifully well landscaped with an
outdoor terrace area, again, for people to have space to be outside.
And the building is filled with all sorts of other different amenities, including a chapel, including common space, including space for recreation, space for working out, all to give people the chance to not only live in this building as an assisted living building, but also have it feel like a home.
