SBS official Dynishal Gross describes coordination with BIDs on permits
Dynishal Gross thanks Honda and says SBS was in close coordination on SAPO permitting decisions. She says SBS briefed business improvement districts and merchants associations as decisions were made.
Thank you so much, Councilmember, for your question.
I do want to take a moment to acknowledge all that our World Cup czar just mentioned on the complexity of the summer, a summer that we will never forget thanks to her work and the efforts of city workers across this government.
And I also wanted to acknowledge and thanking her for her work.
Whenever decisions were being made around SAPO permitting processes, there was more clarity coming out as a result of all of the complex coordination work that was necessary to keep New Yorkers safe.
The minute these things were happening, we were in close coordination.
SBS would be notified.
We would work together in briefing the business improvement.
districts across the city as well as other merchants associations that are involved with street activations.
Obviously not everyone was able to do all the events that they wanted to do because of a summer of a lifetime that we were experiencing, but wanted to really acknowledge that there was a conscious effort made at every step of the way that as decisions were made,
there was no gap between the time that business improvement districts and merchants associations were then hearing of the decisions that were reached as a result of the capacity needs during the summer.
