Gutierrez questions Office of Community Safety consolidation and call routing
Councilmember Jennifer Gutierrez asks whether OTI or 311 has been informed about the Office of Community Safety folding in the Office to End Gender-Based Violence and whether call center reps might face delays redirecting calls.
Thank you.
Councilmember Gutierrez.
Thank you.
Good to see you, Joe.
I just have a couple of questions.
One ties into a topic the council heard earlier today in the women and gender equity hearing.
Just curious from your side, the...
Office of Community Safety is now the umbrella office that is kind of folding in a bunch of other offices, one of which is the mayor's office to end gender-based violence.
I had asked today earlier in the hearing if, because of this new classification, essentially they're still working out through kind of
what the new office will look like for them, if they have communicated to OTI or 311 about kind of what a call would look like now serving under not its own separate office, but under...
You know, a whole nother office and whether or not that would place a delay on a call center representative potentially if they're in the know or not.
So I just wanted to ask you, how up to date are you kind of on this office consolidation?
And do you know if there's any reason?
And for, you know, a two, three second delay in a call center representative potentially kind of redirecting a call now that it's not a standalone office.
