Ms. Jennings testifies about unresolved 311 complaints and safety fears
Ms. Jennings describes years of stalking, assaults, and unanswered 311 calls, saying she has been told to wait two weeks and cannot get help from NYPD or officials. She asks where her 311 calls are going and requests a meeting with the chair.
Wherever you'd like.
Thanks.
Okay, Ms.
Jennings, you may begin when you're ready.
Oh, give us.
Thank you so much, Ms.
Jennings.
Ms.
Jennings speaking.
Thank you.
I love Miss Marosa.
I called one of the people on the committee this morning.
I forget who.
And the person answered, who is this?
I said, a constituent.
And it was interesting.
There were a lot of phone beeping on the other end.
The wonderful man that just left.
I've been stalked since 2006.
311 got so many calls from me, and they always said that they're going to get back to me in two weeks.
I've been assaulted.
I'm chased by moms on every corner.
I'm staying somewhere.
That now was H-E-L-L.
Now he has cameras in there and a tracking device on me.
Last week I went to family court to get what you call an order of protection and such.
I can't imagine where my calls are going.
Because I'm going to say something that's...
In 2007, I spoke to a private eye.
The private eye said he couldn't help me.
But my phone would blow up.
I have a joke that's not funny.
FBI and NSA are the least on my phone.
I can't imagine where my calls are rerouted to because it doesn't take 20 years for 311
to reach out to whatever department in NYPD, the horrible 47 precinct, and the wonderful Riley here that's not here today that's around the corner from where I'm at.
But I've gone many times, asked for help, and gotten nothing.
And the wonderful Jermani Williams that I saw at the oversight committee the other day, and I asked to meet with him.
I don't hear from anybody.
I couldn't, if I said for you to spend the day watching me, your jaw wouldn't drop.
You wouldn't have a jaw.
I would love to know who's sending these people messages to chase me in mobs down on the streets.
And when I called for 311 like I did last night, because I sat and I couldn't move.
I'm working on a third heart attack caused by this.
And I called 311.
And I said, don't give me 911 because I was going to see you SS them out.
It's finished?
Yes, your time is up.
If you could just conclude, thank you.
My big part?
What?
If you could just conclude.
I'm just wondering.
What is Joe Morris for doing with those 311 calls?
They're going.
Because Eric Dinnerwood's tried to get a care 311 that you get at a cell number.
I get nothing.
So yesterday, the 25 letters went to the White House, and there's been 5,000 so far that's gone under every bus and train camera because I fear for my life and safety.
I would like to meet with you if it's possible, but everyone that I ask to meet with, I get pointed to the chief of staff, and I never meet with them.
Okay.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for coming.
Thank you so much.
