Commissioner Flynn testifies on Intro 95 (moped point-of-sale info)
Flynn supports Intro 95 requiring DCWP to develop materials for moped retailers to distribute at point of sale, and notes DOT already promotes educational materials.

This bill would require DCWP to develop materials containing information related to the registration,
inspection, insurance, operation, and traffic safety requirements for mopeds, and would require moped retailers to distribute such materials at the point of sale.
We're proud to have supported passage of the state law to require ownership information at moped point of sale and have found it to be effective thus far.
DOT already promotes a robust suite of educational materials, safety information, and events to help people ride mopeds more safely.
We support this bill and look forward to working with our sister agency, DCWP, and the Council to strengthen ongoing outreach efforts.
