Kari Bailey presents Site 3 on Nautas Avenue

New York City Council · Oct 6, 2026 · starts 1:40:39 · 43 sec

Bailey says the Nautas Avenue DOS boundary was moved five feet closer to the street in 2023, preventing modest as-of-right enlargements for dozens of townhomes; DCP proposes resetting it to the previous location.

Kari Bailey

And this is the third and last DOS site.

Kari Bailey

It's on Nautas Avenue.

Kari Bailey

It includes a block of existing built townhomes.

Kari Bailey

As a result of CISR, this DOS boundary was moved five feet closer to the street, which is shown here in red.

Kari Bailey

And it removed the ability for modest as a right enlargements or expansions for dozens of homes on this block.

Kari Bailey

So therefore, the department is proposing to reset this DOS boundary back to its previous location in green and align it with the goals of home zoning relief for small properties.
