Chair Gutiérrez asks about on-site enrollment
Gutiérrez notes provider and parent interest in on-site enrollment. Liss says programs can help families complete applications, and they will gather feedback on enrollment processes for future decisions.
I've heard from a lot of providers and some parents who like being able to walk in and apply on site.
And I know that there's debate on what constitutes applying on site, using the site.
I think we're clear that when providers are saying that they mean that they have the ability to do the application process and select.
But there has been a good amount of advocacy for on.
on-site enrollment, is that something that you are all looking at for the continued expansion of 2K and Universal?
I think there's a lot of merit for a lot of these providers to be able to register and to do the application process for folks on-site.
As you said, obviously families, if they walk into a program, the program can absolutely help them complete the application.
We see that as a really strong way for families to be able to get the support they need.
To your question about on-site enrollment, I think there are many, many sort of points during this year where we'll be gathering feedback from providers and families about how 2K is working for them.
And we want to make sure that family and provider input certainly informs our future decision making.
So we'll continue to gather that feedback about how the enrollment process is and is not working.
