Ortiz says DCWP could not action pedicab complaints due to missing information
Ortiz says over the past year DCWP could not action any complaints because of missing information or consumers not following up. Epstein notes that means zero follow-through on 135 complaints, and Ortiz says the agency immediately reaches out but lacks data on responses.
I can speak to over the past year that we've not been able to action on any of the complaints we've received because either the lack of information that we've been provided or consumers not following up when we reached out to them.
Right.
So of the 135, we've got zero that there's any follow through on.
Well, I would push back on that slightly.
We do follow through.
We immediately reach out to the consumer, and it is a priority for us to make sure that consumer hears from us.
In terms of actioning on the complaint subsequently, that we have not been able to get.
Of those complaints, how many did the consumer actually respond wanting to get redress?
I think the issue with the complaints is either we don't have enough information to contact the consumer, or when we reach out to the consumer, they do not respond to us.
But some do respond, right?
I don't think we have, we don't have data saying that somebody responded, but I can double check that for you.
I appreciate that.
