Deputy Speaker Williams Welcomes Youth Empowerment Day Participants

Thank you, Acting Majority Leader Krishnan.

I want to give a quick shout-out to the young people who joined us today at City Hall for Youth Empowerment Day, representing schools across Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.

Of course, a special shout-out to Eagle Academy that is located in my district.

I want to thank Lynette Townsley, the New York State Conference of NAACP Youth Division.

I believe we have the president here alongside NCNW, BU, National Action Network, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated.

And thank you so much to all the young people who are here today for being engaged and taking an interest in what happens in our city.

We may have some future council members and lawmakers sitting in our audience today.

Thank you so much for being here.

Thank you, Deputy Speaker.

Now we have Councilmember Banks, followed by Councilmember Lee.
