Hanif asks how the referral handoff works
Hanif asks for more detail on the warm handoff to CCHR. Kamuf Ward says people may contact Rivera or Project Equal Access directly, and CCHR tries to follow up with MOPD by email or phone and capture matters in its case management system.
And could you describe the referral handoff so that we have better clarity on...
Commissioner, you mentioned, Deputy Commissioner also mentioned that there's a warm handoff to CCHR.
Is that warm handoff going to Project Equal Access?
What's, please describe the process.
Yeah, so I think it's going to depend and be kind of sometimes.
People will reach out directly to Stephanie, who is the assistant commissioner overseeing Project Equal Access.
I think there's also staff at MOPD who directly work with our Project Equal Access team, so they might reach out to the director of that team as well.
And then it's always our goal to follow up with MOPD to let MOPD know what happened with the case.
I think we have worked.
We're improving our ability to track whether that is happening in every case, as the deputy commissioner from MOPD was saying.
Our internal system is something that we're continually improving, including as part of this reorganization.
But really, it's usually over email or a phone call to a member of the Project Equal Access team.
And then those matters are captured in our case management system.
