Chair Williams presses DCLA on missing biennial reports and key indicator data
Chair says reports were hard to find online and asks if 2023 and 2025 reports were submitted to mayor and speaker; Vij promises to send them, and Wang says FY23-FY26 data was uploaded over the weekend.
Okay.
And I know you mentioned that you publish the progress reports that are due every two years after submission of the original plan.
But we had trouble actually finding some of those reports online.
So just wanted to know and get clarity if you submitted the reports for 2023 and 2025 cycles to both the mayor and the speaker.
We have absolutely put them on the website and published them, but we will look in to make sure that we are fully in compliance and moving forward we'll be definitely submitting them to the mayor and speaker.
Yeah, I think it's supposed to be submitted to the mayor and the speaker, correct?
Is that what the charter?
Yeah, the charter stipulates that it's supposed to be submitted to both the mayor and the speaker.
And I don't think we received it.
Okay, well, we will definitely send them to you.
Okay.
The Create NYC Key Indicators page promises updates at the close of each fiscal year, but its tables generally stop at FY 2022.
So where subsequent years data collected but not published or not collected, again, who is responsible and when will the missing data be published?
Yeah, as I've said before, during the weekend, we uploaded some new numbers.
So you'll find numbers.
That's so convenient because you knew you were coming to the hearing.
You'll find numbers from FY23 to FY26.
Not acceptable, but we appreciate it.
That's why hearings are important.
It holds people accountable.
I would also say, I mean.
Because I don't know if we had this hearing, if you would have rushed to put those things online.
I'm just saying.
But we appreciate it.
