Dinowitz asks New Visions about tracking Seal outcomes
Dinowitz asks whether New Visions tracks how Seal students do later. Elizabeth Shattuck says the portal worked on tracking during Seal development but she does not know if it still does, and will find out.

Gomes just talk about, you know, wouldn't it be nice to know how these students do with the seal of civic readiness?
The New Visions runs a portal, the New Visions portal.
I'm curious to know, one, if this is data you track, or two, if you are in conversations with DOE and CUNY to track this data.
I know that when we were working on the seal in 2018 to 2021 in terms of development, that the portal was working on a way to track and measure that.
But I do not know if that is something that we still do.
I can find out and let you know.

And then, of course, I think as Gom said, and it's absolutely true, data drives decisions, as Councilman Joseph said.
So that would be the next step, I think, as it relates to this hearing for the portal to or new visions to explore.
And I always say whenever I hear new visions, you know, for seven years I taught at Bronx Theater High School, a new vision school.
So love the support that I got there with data and curriculum.
