Joseph thanks Brewer and says they often discuss how to get the message to families. She notes NYC Public Schools prints many comic books but families, students, and colleagues often do not know, and urges highlighting the best of public schools.

How do you get the messaging out to families that this is happening?
We don't know what's happening.
I know what's happening.
I also know that New York City Public Schools is one of the agencies that print the most comic books in the country.
But guess what?
The families don't know that.
The students don't know that.
My colleagues don't know that.
I do because I make it my business to know.
But we need to do a better job in promoting what New York City Public School is doing best.
We always see the worst of New York City Public Schools.
How about we start highlighting the best of New York City Public Schools?
