Maloney asks about accident accountability and landing frequency
Fredrickson says first responders and federal investigations handle incidents; the July 5 incident paused operations; there were about 1,400-1,500 landings in the six-month season.
And when you talk about some of the seaplane operators that use the space,
Acadian seaplanes, fly the whale, tropic ocean airwines, etc.
Who is accountable if there is an accident or an incident?
And how does Doc NYC know, or EDC, know which company or which person or which plane is responsible?
But first, if there's an incident, it's first responders that are onto the scene.
And then there was coordination with DOC NYC and EDC to make sure that we understand all the facts before we resume operations.
And so there was a July 5th incident, I think it was mentioned earlier, where we did pause for the remainder of the day to make sure we understood the conditions and then before we resumed activity again.
And the number of landings are more frequent in the summer months, is that right?
That's correct.
So you see this typically between May and October.
And do you have a sense of the number of landings month by month in that busy period?
Yeah, I can give back to you on the exact month by month breakdown, but it was approximately like 1,400, 1,500 this past year.
Or in 2025, yeah, we're still collecting the final numbers for 2026.
Over that entire period?
Over that six-month period.
