Sanchez asks whether inspectors check each worker's SST card
Sanchez asks whether inspectors check each worker for an SST card on job sites; Tigani describes card taps and on-site worker conversations, and Shamash details how investigators audit course providers by sitting in on classes and checking attendance, and confirm card compliance with construction supers and spot checks using QR codes.
What about on job sites?
Are inspectors checking each worker for an SST card?
There are two elements here.
One, the taps are one way of demonstrating that there's a

But then if we are on a construction site, we may talk to workers to make sure that people are doing what they're doing.
supposed to and have the cards that they're supposed to.
Thank you.
I'll just add with regards to the course providers, we have a team of investigators that audit those course providers.
So they will check that the curriculum matches what's required.
We will ensure that we are getting their course catalogs and time on those courses.
We will pretend to be workers and sit in on those classes and make sure that the entire training is happening.
We will check attendance records for those courses.
We have a very in-depth check that we do on these course providers.
With regards to the site safety card requirements, we do confirm with the construction supers, site safety coordinators, managers, and check the logs that all the workers on site
have the necessary SST requirements, and then we'll do a spot check on site with specific cards.
Each card has a QR code that we can check to ensure that it is a valid card.
Thank you.
