Sanchez asks whether safety logs are paper or electronic
Sanchez asks whether site safety logs are marble notebooks or electronic; Tigani cites a 2024 building bulletin allowing digital formats and says many sites have moved to digital, and Shamash explains digital records speed reviews and require on-site tablets for inspectors to check worker names and site safety plans.
And are these marble notebooks on a work site?
Are these electronic logs?
There is a, there is, I kind of wish they were, I mean, I'm nostalgic for marble.
There's actually a building bulletin that we issued out in 2024 that talks about the format, allows for a digital format.
We require these documents, and we're seeing a lot of...
A lot of sites moved to digital, quite frankly.
So, you know, RIP Marvel notebooks.
It would be...
quite a few marble notebooks, if they were just marble notebooks.
But the bulletin that allowed for transition from paper to digital not only helps the industry, but it helps us as well.
As you can imagine, going through digital records is a lot faster than going through notebooks of notebooks of paper.
But it's also helpful.
We require as part of the digital format to have tablets or some sort of digital screen that we can walk around with so we can identify
worker names, we can look at site safety plans as we're walking through the sites.
So it's a big benefit to the inspectors as well to have everything digitally.
Yeah, absolutely.
And maybe we can have sites proactively submit to DOB so you're always looking.
Big Brother is watching.
Okay.
I've never said that in an upbeat tone in my life.
It's hitting you well.
It's hitting you well.
So two more from me and the council members.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
