Hudson asks Rudin what repairs ICL can do independently
Hudson asks what repairs ICL can authorize without DHS approval; Rudin says physical plant issues go to DHS, superficial things like painting may be in ICL's purview, and even shower curtain rods required a DHS process.
Sorry, I have one last question.
What categories of repairs or facility improvements can ICL authorize and complete independently without prior DHS or DSS approval?
Yeah, you know, because it's their building, we tell them, we bring all physical plant issues to them.
And then there are more superficial things that they allow us to do on our own.
Can you just give us some examples of what that might be?
I'll give you an example.
We were like, we want to hang shower curtain rods right now in the bathroom.
And they were like, no, like we have some structural concerns about that.
Let's go through this process of getting bids.
And so we figured out how we could expedite it and plan to have it done by the end of the year.
But they intercede.
They have capital experts that we don't.
It's their building.
They know it better than we do from a capital standpoint.
You know, I would be guessing.
I want to say painting and some.
Superficial things like that might be in our purview, but I need to be clear that that's a guess.
Okay.
Thank you.
Thank you, Chair.
Thank you.
Ms.
Foster.
I apologize.
I didn't realize I wasn't told you had a question.
Hang tight.
Council Member Wong.
