Rodney Silas testifies on successful housing transition
Silas thanks DVS staff, says he was displaced in November 2025 and had his own apartment by June, received PTSD services at James J. Peters Hospital, and is grateful for the help.
There you go.
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
My name is Rodney Silas.
I'm going to start with all praises due to Allah.
First of all, I'd like to thank Dr.
Cleopatra Brown, Donnie Smalls, Denise Covington, and Mr.
Fowler.
I was displaced November 2025.
By June of this year, I have my own apartment now, and I'm grateful.
I went there.
I handled my business.
And they took very good care of me.
Now, I also received services from James J.
Peters Hospital for PTSD.
And a military-related injury.
My process, I handled my business, and they went beyond the call of duty to help me, and I'm grateful.
You know, I really don't have much to say because I get emotional.
You know, because...
I've never been in a situation like this.
So I thank all of y'all.
That's all I have to say.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you for sharing.
Go ahead, sir.
