Brewer asks about DOE and housing; Eusebio cites NEON classrooms and DHS partnership
Brewer asks whether public schools help with programs for students and raises housing needs. Eusebio says DOP had classrooms in NEON sites and is rebuilding that relationship, and says DOP works with DHS on housing as a stabilizing factor.
We almost need housing, in my opinion, for some young people.
I wish we could be looking at that.
Go ahead.
I just want to hear from you what you need.
One of the things I think, that's what I need is to make sure we reassess what we have first.
I got nine months under my belt, so I'm looking at employment.
We're looking at mental health, behavioral health.
We're looking at housing.
These are the main components that we need at probation.
So we are definitely looking at it.
Like I said, I've been convening with different organizations to look at capacity, which is very important.
I need to know what capacity is.
Are there programs we are missing?
Right?
There's a lot of resources in New York City, and some of them go overlooked.
So I need to know what that is.
So we're mapping at this point.
