Zhuang raises LaGuardia and Dyckman OAC leak complaints

New York City Council · Oct 27, 2026 · starts 0:46:37 · 1 min 10 sec

Zhuang asks if Trimble is familiar with LaGuardia and Dyckman Older Adult Senior Center. She says she heard they have a second-floor pipe leak that has not been fixed for years, requiring a bucket when someone showers. Trimble says she can follow up and will check whether it is on their repair list.

Susan Zhuang

Do you familiar with LaGuardia and the Dyckman Older Adult Senior Center?

Eva Trimble

I'm familiar with those centers, but not any specific conditions there.

Susan Zhuang

I heard they have leaking on their second floor.

Susan Zhuang

The pipe has leaking.

Susan Zhuang

They haven't able to fix there for years.

Susan Zhuang

And if there's anyone shower second floor, they have to put a bucket there.

Susan Zhuang

I just don't know what's the process and what's the status in that location.

Eva Trimble

Sure, I can certainly follow up on that.

Eva Trimble

That's at LaGuardia and Dyckman, the same condition?

Susan Zhuang

Yeah.

Eva Trimble

Sure, we can follow up on that.

Susan Zhuang

Because this is what complaint we usually hear, not only just them, but this is just come, they were there in previous testimony.

Eva Trimble

I also want to share that we, as the Commissioner Scott McKenzie mentioned, our staff meets every two weeks to review.

Eva Trimble

repair requests and so we'll check whether that is on our list.

Eva Trimble

If it hasn't been escalated, we will go and we'll take a look and see what those conditions are.

Susan Zhuang

I hope I can hear from you very soon about these two locations leaking issue.
