Chair Farías asks about jump in doula service hours
Farías notes doula service hours rose to 426 hours from January to June 2026 and 438 hours from July to December 2025, compared with 148 hours in early 2025. Greysock attributes this to demand and doulas sometimes coming a third day.
There was a massive jump in service hours provided by doulas in the last two reporting periods compared to before with doulas providing 426 service hours from January to June of 2026
and 438 service hours from July to December of 2025 as compared to 148 service hours for January to June of 2025.
Is there a specific reason that doulas were able to provide so much more service over the past 12 months?
I think dual services are very important and very valued by the individual in our care.
Although the minimum is two days a week, oftentimes they do come on the third day because the women often ask for them.
They're often kind of like their main go-to, and they really serve as a source of important emotional support.
So I've found that they often come additional hours.
