Chair Hudson opens public testimony and gives instructions
Hudson opens public testimony, reminds attendees of decorum, explains the two-minute limit, and gives instructions for submitting written testimony.
Very much appreciate it.
Now, in accordance with the rules of the council, oh, sorry, I'm not the council.
I'm now opening the hearing for public testimony.
I want to remind members of the public that this is a government proceeding and that decorum shall be observed at all times.
As such, members of the public shall remain silent at all times.
The witness table is reserved for people who wish to testify.
No video recording or photography is allowed from the witness table.
Further, members of the public may not present audio or video recordings as testimony, but may submit transcripts of such recordings to the Sergeant at Arms for inclusion in the hearing record.
If you wish to speak at today's hearing, please fill out an appearance card with the Sergeant at Arms and wait to be...
recognized.
When recognized, you'll have two minutes to speak on the oversight topic of shelter safety or the legislation we're considering today, introductions 99 and 387.
If you have a written statement or additional written testimony you wish to submit for the record, please provide a copy of that testimony to the sergeant at arms.
You may also email written testimony to testimony at council.nyc.gov.
Within 72 hours of this hearing, audio and video recordings will not be accepted.
And again, I just want to thank everybody for their patience.
I know sometimes it's a while until we get to public testimony, but it is really important and part of our duties as council members to make sure that we are providing oversight and accountability for the mayoral administration and asking all of the questions of them
that we can.
So with that, I will call.
The first panel.
Richard Flores, Allison Wilkie, Kristen Miller, Chris Mann, and Deborah Berkman.
Okay.
I'll leave it among yourselves.
Yeah, we worked out our order.
Okay, thank you.
