Narcisse asks about NYC Care budget; Long cites $100 million
Narcisse asks about NYC Care's annual budget and cost per member, and whether H&H will need new city funding if enrollment climbs. Long says the program's budget is $100 million a year, unchanged for several years, covering CBO payments, marketing, member cards, and care coordination.
Before I pass it on to my colleagues, there's a couple of questions, books, powers left on a budget capacity.
What is New York City Care current annual budget and cost per member?
If enrollment climbs because of federal cut, does H&H expect to need new city funding?
That's where I was going with you.
I figured.
So the budget that we have for the NYC Care Program today is $100 million a year.
By the way, that's been the same budget that we've had since a couple of years after the inception of the program.
So within that budget, that includes things like the payments we make to our CBO partners.
It includes marketing.
It includes the cards that we talked about earlier that send you in the mail.
And it includes the coordination of care for our new patients, which need more.
They're going to see Dr.
Jimenez or me in clinic.
So clinical services, too.
As the program's expanded, the amount of money that we spend for the program has expanded too.
So we are in very close communication with OMB about the cost of the program from our point of view, you know, stacked up against the $100 million that we're out.
Okay.
