New York City Council · May 28, 2026 · starts 4:56:21 · 1 min 34 sec

Chair Alexa Avilés asks which city agencies house the 10 new open positions at MOIA and whether they include the three vacancies discussed during the preliminary budget.

Luisa Linares

Hello again.

Luisa Linares

Um so I'm gonna jump right in because we are uh pressed for time.

Luisa Linares

Um, but I wanted to talk about the budget, Moya's budget and your head count.

Luisa Linares

Um, you know, it's always challenging to try to conduct oversight because of the programs they're spread throughout multiple agencies.

Luisa Linares

I was already discussed.

Luisa Linares

Um I know that you highlighted some strengths and some challenges that we may have in calling for an independent agency.

Luisa Linares

I'm gonna continue to call for that uh because I really feel that there are some uh major wins that we can get there, but I I I appreciate the uh want and need for for the communication around that.

Luisa Linares

Um in your testimony, you mentioned 10 new positions um at Moya that they are currently open.

Luisa Linares

Under which agencies are those 10 new positions housed, and does that include the three vacant positions that we had spoken about during the prelim budget?

Luisa Linares

Or is it in addition to those those three?

Luisa Linares

Um yes, that that does include uh those uh those uh three uh vacancies that we spoke about in the prelim.

Luisa Linares

Um and these vacancies are spread uh through the mayor's office, uh DCAS, uh DSS, and SBS.

Luisa Linares

What was the first one before DCAS?
