Chair Avilés Questions NYPD Recommendation and 'Patrol Executive' Role
Chair Alexa Avilés questions the NYPD recommendation to notify operations of ICE presence and asks for clarification on the role of a 'patrol executive' sent to the scene.
And one of the recommendations submitted by the NYPD is to establish a protocol requiring that the communications division notify operations of any 911 calls related to the presence of federal immigration authorities or immigration matters.
And the recommendation says that a patrol executive will be sent to the scene.
What is a patrol executive?
Yeah, that's a great question.
That is information that we can share after we have more discussion with the NYPD and other IRC partners.
But do you do you know it as a uniform officer?
Is that it's is it do you know that it's gonna well you don't know that it's gonna be a separate person?
I the wording is interesting.
Yeah, that's something I'll have to get back to you on.
Okay.
Um so the I'll I'll save those follow-up questions for this patrol executive for uh that time.
