Council Member Brewer Questions Contract Processing Metrics and Escalations
Council Member Gale Brewer asks how DYCD measures improvements in contract processing and how many contract delays are escalated to the Mayor's Office of Nonprofit Services.
Thank you very much.
Um I appreciate the call yesterday that we discussed the after school programs.
I sent you a letter, I assume you got it, um, and we hope that that can be changed.
Is it true that we could do sub uh contracting if nothing else works?
The contract does allow for 30% subcontracting.
30%.
Yes.
Okay, that's not not everything then.
Okay.
Also, just so you know, the people, uh principals do not have a contact for the other uh provider.
They don't know how to reach them.
I obviously know, so I made the contact, but they did not have a contact, just so you know.
They contacted you to get a contact.
So um I hope that can be changed.
It's really causing a lot of challenges.
Also, PS 145 is not happy.
They want LEAP.
I assume you know that.
They also contacted me.
Everybody contacts me.
And so they too are upset.
So you've got a lot of upset people, just FYI.
