Council Member Rita Joseph asks about the number of Summer Rising applications and how DYCD is coordinating with public schools to accommodate students with IEPs.
How many students applied for summarizing today?
And what provision are you putting in place for students with special needs?
Students with IEPs.
I'm gonna defer to the youth services team to respond to that.
So uh this past year we received over 150,000 uh applications.
So we're really excited about that.
Uh, in regarding um providing supports for youth and disabilities, uh, we've been working with the Dow team in New York City Public Schools to ensure that we have accommodation plans for every single child that is required to receive those services and coordinating with school leadership and the CBOs as well to ensure that all those supports in place for all those services throughout the um program period.
And a student who needs a one-to-one power in summarizing, yes, one will be provided and you will accommodate what's on the IP.
