Hanif asks about MOPD-CCHR collaboration and annual report omission
Hanif notes CCHR's FY25 report highlighted collaboration with MOPD but FY26 did not mention MOPD. Kamuf Ward and Morig describe joint resources for small businesses, trainings, Disability Service Facilitator trainings, and outreach events.
Understood.
CCHR's fiscal year 2025 annual report highlights strengthened collaboration with MOPD, but its fiscal year 2026 report does not mention MOPD.
What specifically can you share about that collaboration and what it achieved and what does its ongoing work look like?
Thank you.
Yeah, so I think just to say on the annual report that it's a snapshot of activities, but definitely not everything.
In the kind of past year, fiscal year 26, but really beginning.
In fiscal year 25, we worked with MOPD to create a number of updated resources for small businesses.
So information on small business accessibility that live on the both MyCity page.
which is SBS's resource for small businesses, as well as developing kind of joint training programs.
Again, many focused on small businesses.
So those are a couple of areas of collaboration so far.
I think as Deputy Commissioner from MOPD mentioned, we also are referring cases internally across agencies and thinking, I think, always about ways to work together.
Of course, do outreach events like the Disability Unite Festival that I mentioned, the SBS Small Business Expo, and I think the Deputy Commissioner from MOPT has a few other MOPD-sponsored events that we participated in.
Yeah, we...
We collaborated with CCHR on the disability service facilitators trainings, for example.
We had one on fair housing earlier this, I think in June.
And then I think last year we had a source of income training.
So we convened the DSFs of various agencies for trainings.
CCHR attended our Deaf Town Hall, which we held very recently.
And I believe we've had a couple of...
We've tabled a lot next to each other, but generally we're, you know, lines of communications are open and we generally work together, especially for outreach events.
